It was just what I needed: spend a whole day outside, learning new skills. Fishing was one of them, and I hardly can explain how great it was. The day before yesterday was a first because I caught my first “real” fish. Let me explain myself: a few years back, my family and I spent holidays together in the south of France. One day, we decided to spend an afternoon catching fishes in some aqua-farm nearby. Our gear was very primitive : my fishing rod was made of a simple stick, some kichen rope and a plug. But how efficient it was! The little girl that I was caught no less than ten fishes on her own!
The day before yesterday was a bit different. We left Riga at 6am to reach one of the lakes that surrounds the capital. When we arrived there, the view was absolutely stunning. We ate two pieces of bread with some wild mushrooms that we had found on the road, before heading towards the lake. And then, we waited, waited and waited, for the fish too come. When i thought that I had a fish, there was nothing, but when I looked at my fishing rope, the worm was gone. I played this game for two hours before getting seriously frustrated. But patience is a virtue. When I finally got it, I didn’t want to leave the pond anymore.
